Row groupings create a hierarchical structure on the rows of a matrix report, letting you drill down data by multiple dimensions in a nested way. The reporting system supports up to eight levels of row groupings in a single matrix definition. That means you can stack eight different row groupings (for example, region, country, city, department, team, etc.) within one matrix. This eight-level limit is fixed, so you can’t add more than eight. Therefore, the maximum number you can use for row groupings is eight. Fewer than eight is allowed, but you can’t exceed eight.
